Telephone Consultations are available every day and are an effective way of ensuring you have access to clinicians without having to attend surgery.
You can usually request a telephone consultation with the doctor of your choice between 8.30am-10.00am, although occasionally if we are exceptionally busy the telephone call requests will be allocated to the duty doctor instead. Please note that your request is logged onto the appointment system and that the doctor returns the telephone call later in the day when they become available.

Our reception team are trained to ask for details of your medical problem to ensure an appointment is made with the most appropriate clinician.
The doctor will usually conduct telephone consultations between 12.00-14.00. If, when the doctor calls, the telephone call is unanswered, the doctor will try again. If the telephone is still unanswered you will need to request a telephone consultation again on another morning.
