All members of the practice team treat patient information in the strictest confidence.
The Right Of Access To Patient Information
The Data Protection Act 2018 – General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gave individuals the right of access, subject to certain exceptions, to health information recorded about themselves, and, in certain circumstances, about others, within manual records. The practice policy on access to health records can be obtained from reception.

Freedom Of Information – Publication Scheme
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the ‘classes’ of information the practice intends to routinely make available.
We strongly support the NHS policy on zero tolerance. Anyone attending any of our surgeries who abuses the GPs, staff or other patients be it verbally, physically or in any threatening or intimidating manner whatsoever, will risk removal from the practice list. In extreme cases we may summon the police to remove offenders from the practice premises.
Social Networking Sites
Many users believe that they are writing for a selected group of friends on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, unaware that the information may be publicly available and read by a much wider audience. Communications which are considered to be unreasonable regarding the doctors and staff of the practice may lead to an irretrievable breakdown of the doctor-patient relationship, and possible removal from the Practice List. If you have any concerns regarding the practice please speak to the staff/management of the practice who will do their best to resolve the matter.
