Even though it may not be possible to attend the clinics at this time, it is still vital you look after and talk about your Sexual Health. Please see the below link if you need advice:

Services in Barry and Llantwit Major 

Clinic Opening Times

Broad Street Clinic– Barry

  • Monday weekly (excluding bank holidays) 5.30pm – 7.30pm (no age restriction)
  • Thursday weekly (excluding bank holidays) 11am – 2pm (no age restriction)
  • Thursday weekly (excluding bank holidays) 3pm – 6pm (25 and under)

Family Planning- Llantwit Major

  • First Friday of each calendar month (excluding bank holidays) 11am-1.30pm (no age restriction) – New model launched April 2018

Sexual Health Services provided in community clinics:   

  • Contraceptive pill
  • Contraceptive jab / Depo provera injection
  • Condoms
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Pregnancy advice and referral for abortion if required
  • IUD / IUS (“Coil”) removals
  • STI tests (Chlamydia and gonorrhoea)
  • Cervical smear tests (if capacity allows)
  • Implant (“Rod”) insertions and changes (please check with reception)
  • Emergency contraception (please check with reception if you require the emergency coil)
  • IUD / IUS fits (“Coil” fits) when a Doctor is available, please check with reception
  • We are NOT able to provide implant removals or routine coils in our evening clinics which open at 5pm. Please ask Reception about booking an appointment elsewhere or ring 02920 335355 (Mon to Fri, 8.30am – 4.30pm).If you are having symptoms (problems), we may need to refer you to Cardiff Royal Infirmary for tests and / or treatment. Please wait to speak to a Nurse who will advise you.
