During COVID-19 Pandemic

Please be aware our Coil Clinic is suspended until further notice.

We thank you for your patience and co-operation.

(Clinic Info before Pandemic):

Coil Clinic

All patients who are considering the Coil or Implant as a form of contraception must discuss this with one of our GPs first, in order to determine whether this is the most suitable method for you. If the GP is happy for you to go forward with this method, it would be inserted within our Coil Clinic at our branch Chapel Surgery, St Athan. The clinic is arranged as required as there is a waiting list. Please provide your Name, Date of Birth and Contact Information to one of our Reception Team to get you on the list. Once your name is at the top of the list, we will contact you with an appointment. It is important you confirm this appointment, again with our Reception Team.

It is vital you use other forms of contraception or abstain from sexual intercourse prior to your appointment. If you are under the age of 25 or have a new sexual partner we will advise you to have swabs beforehand, this is normal practice.

Our lead Doctors in Women and Child Health, Family Planning (incl IUCD) are:
